The Generate Test Data endpoint returns realistic synthetic data based on the defined schema. This includes various fields such as names, emails, addresses, and more, structured according to the specified tables and relationships.
The response data is organized in a JSON format, with a main "data" object containing arrays for each defined table. For example, user data is returned as an array of user objects, each with fields like "id," "name," and "email."
Users can customize their data requests by defining parameters such as table names, column types, row counts, and relationships between tables. This allows for tailored data generation based on specific needs.
The List Field Types endpoint provides a comprehensive list of over 50 built-in field types available for data generation, including UUIDs, emails, phone numbers, addresses, and more, enabling diverse dataset creation.
The Health Check endpoint returns fields such as "status" (indicating API health), "version" (showing the current API version), and "timestamp" (providing the last checked time), which help users assess API functionality.
Users can utilize the returned templates by selecting a pre-built schema that matches their use case, such as e-commerce or CRM, to quickly generate relevant synthetic data without needing to define the schema from scratch.
Data accuracy is maintained through schema-aware generation, ensuring that the synthetic data adheres to the defined relationships and constraints, thus mimicking realistic data patterns while preserving privacy.
Typical use cases include seeding development and staging databases, populating CI/CD test fixtures, load testing with realistic data, and creating demo environments for QA testing, enhancing overall development efficiency.
