The Global Linguist API returns structured data that includes the source language, ISO code, original text, and the translated text in the target language. This allows for easy integration and manipulation of translation results.
The key fields in the response data include "source" (containing the original language, ISO code, and text) and "target" (containing the translated language, ISO code, and translated text array).
Users can customize their requests by specifying the `sourceText`, and optionally providing `source` (the original language) and `target` (the desired language) parameters to tailor the translation output.
The response data is organized in a JSON format with two main sections: "source" and "target." Each section contains relevant details such as language, ISO code, and text, making it easy to parse and utilize.
Typical use cases include educational tools for language learning, localization of websites and applications, and real-time communication platforms that require accurate translations for diverse audiences.
Data accuracy is maintained through a combination of advanced algorithms and continuous updates to the translation models, ensuring that the translations reflect current language usage and context.
If users receive partial or empty results, they should verify the input parameters for correctness and ensure that the source text is not empty. Additionally, checking for supported languages can help avoid issues.
Accepted parameter values for the translation endpoint include any valid text for `sourceText`, and language codes for `source` and `target` parameters, which should conform to ISO 639-1 standards for language representation.
